Christmas/Epiphany ministries
Each year during Advent, many of our members participate in St. Paul's "Random Acts of Kindness" ministry. People buy and wrap gifts and label them appropriately. Then at the December Senior Commodities distribution, clients receive an unexpected gift along with their food box.
As in many churches, we have an 'Angel Tree' with decorations bearing the first name and Christmas wish of a child in our surrounding community. It brings joy to the giver as well as to the receiver to fulfill a child's Christmas wish.
We also collect gifts for the young people of our congregation and present them at a special Epiphany celebration. At Epiphany, we commemorate the arrival of the Magi--the Wise Men--bringing their gifts to the Christ Child on that first Christmas so long ago.
