Mobile Food Pantry

Harvesters, Inc., and St. Paul's know that there is plenty of food; we just need to re-distribute it! On the 3rd Wednesday of each month, Harvesters sends a huge truckload of food to Clay Center. Volunteers from St. Paul's, along with a few of  their friends, help to unload the truck, sort the food into household portions, and distribute to 200 or so cars lined up waiting. The food is mostly fresh produce, though there is occasionally bread, chips, even the occasional turkey! This ministry has been offered at the Shopko Parking lot for years; Shopko was recently bought by Tractor Supply. We are currently distributing out of the Covenant Church parking lot at 1330 15th Street.
